We have been quiet for a while.  Many things had happened and we were forced into situations that we didn't prepare for.  We have been operating for 21 years since 1997 and we thought we had experienced the Ups and Downs in business trends and product cycles.  But in the last few months, we had to make many changes and adjustments.  We had to move to a new location within a very short notice, business dropping like flies, back-stabbing from so-called "friends", ending of YIDM series, relinquishing of area distribution rights, etc.  However, we have managed to adjust ourselves to all these situations and move on.  And we have decided to make a big leap into a new direction.

Team SUZUKI Brass made Suspension Holder for BD-8 and YD-2 series

TS-2149　YD-2/BD8 Brass Sus holder A (39.5~42.7mm)　

TS-2150　YD-2/BD8 Brass Sus holder B (43.5~46.7mm)　

TS-2151　YD-2/BD8 Brass Sus holder C (46.4~49.6mm)　

This new suspension holder has released under Team Suzuki brand. 

It is the same shape but made by brass for gaining more weight to be functioned as vehicle weight balance items. 

By replacing with the standard holder, 7 to 8g heavier than pure aluminum made holders. 

Generally, optional weight is intended for align with the racing regulation, but it will effects the vehicles weight balance as well. 

In case of conventional steel parts, it requires extra space for installing on main chassis. 

By installing this brass made suspension holder, saving the space on chassis and capable for more effective weight balance 

setting to installing more heavy weight items at the front and rear overhang section. 

Installation and setting are the same as the standard parts by replacing 5 adaptors to find the best settings.

The long awaited refresh of the BD8 is finally here.  The press release from Team YOKOMO:

YOKOMO is released the new 1/10 scale EP on-road touring car kit 2018 edition:  BD8-2018

The 1/10EP touring car is one of the biggest and competitive market in the world.

Yokomo has been releasing BD series since 2014 and achieved the world championship in multiple occasions: in  2014 with the BD-7  and  2016 with the BD-8.

The 2018 updated BD8 model will be available at the end of October.

This new BD8-2018 is a further refinement of the previous model to push the limits further and be extremely competitive. 

In order to reduce the weight in the drive train the front spool has been redesigned with newly formulated resin and all the other composite parts were updated  to increase the overall performances. The new special graphite materials has also been used for the suspension parts.

The upper deck and main chassis has been redesigned to increase the rigidly and optimize the balance of the car. 

While the updates may seem minor and conservative they are actually introducing many important improvements in all areas.

40T pulley conversion kit for Yokomo BD8

This new conversion kit is intended for stock racing however any class would benefit from this upgrade. By replacing the current 34T pulley with the 40T the car will feel more balanced and gain overall efficiency. The key feature is more traction, higher corner speed and smoother throttle response for a more consistent car which will lead to lower lap times.

New Release of Yokomo BD-8 stock class kit

This new car kit are intended for the driver who race at stock category. The key feature is replace with larger pulley 40T from standard 34T to increase more drive efficiency and optimize the chassis role balance to fit with stock motor power.

Also the PCS (Pitch Control System) is included as standard configuration for increasing the chassis stability for more higher speed at the corner and easy lead to the top speed at corner exit. Meanwhile, steering response will be more mild feelings for ease of drive at the technical track layout. Average lap time will be improved, but your car will become very consistent at any race and track surface.

Rear Toe Control System for BD8 and BD7-2016

Yokomo has confirmed the release of Rear Toe Control System for the successful BD8 and BD7-2016.  It is possible to control the toe angle actively and enable the car to have more grip and steering.  The performance of this kit has been proven though numerous races by Team YOKOMO.

New "Blinky Mode" Upper Deck for BD8

Team YOKOMO has announced the release of the special upper deck to accommodate over-sized pinion gears for blinky mode.  This upper deck is specially design for the new BD8.  The new upper deck can accomodate up to 42T of the 48DP pinion gear size

Team YOKOMO BD8 Release Information

Team Yokomo’s newly crowned World Championship winning BD8 platform is due for release at the end of October.   The new car compromises many refinements and improvements to its BD7 successor, as well as some of the same, including the following. 

• New Centre Aligned Front Belt System,
• the front belt now runs up the middle of the car which improves the car’s balance as well as smoothness during on-power acceleration.
• Large 22T Centre Pulley,
• the centre pulley has been changed to allow the front and rear belt to run off the same pulley, providing a longer wear for front and rear belts whilst also offering improved acceleration.
• Bush / Insert Suspension Blocks,
• Yokomo have now moved to the bush / insert style suspension blocks, which allows customers easier toe adjustments, the new blocks are also lower which further improves the car centre of gravity.
• New Motor Mount / Flex System,
• The new car carries a smaller motor mount design, which has moved the motor forward inboard (Centre) to increase the cars overall balance, the new motor mount also has new screw placements underneath the chassis which will improve the cars overall grip and corner speed once again. 
• New lightweight graphite plastics ,
• The BD8 will compromise of all new plastic parts, including, Suspension arms, Front Caster Blocks and Knuckles, as well as rear hubs. The new plastics improves the cars performance in a range of different conditions. 
• New Servo Mount Design,
• The new servo mounts runs further up the centre line of the chassis making a slight adjustment to the flex characteristics of the car. The new servo mount will also now be a standard item in the new car. 
• Front Double Joint DCJ’s,
• Yokomo’s high-quality front DCJ’s will also remain a standard feature in the new kit.
• Bulkhead X Braces,
• A feature which will carry over from the BD7, is the ability to run the X braces, which gives drivers more tuning options in different conditions. 
• Big Bore SLF 2 Short Shocks,
• Yokomo’s big bore high capacity shocks which also carry a low COG design will be carried over to the new car. 

Please take note, Team YOKOMO BD8 will include the following 2 items as standard equipment. They are no longer an optional item which makes BD8 a fantastic deal.

We will be bringing in the Graphite Chassis version which is more suitably for our environment here.  We accept pre-order. Expect release date is end of October 2016.

New Gear Diff for BD7/8 series

Yokomo have released an updated gear differential unit which is co-usable at BD7-2016 and new model BD8.

An updated differential unit had already shown its durable performance with BD8 while at IFMAR world championship in Beijing, driven by Ronal Volker.

Team YOKOMO and Ronald Volker are WORLD CHAMPION!

Congratulation to Team YOKOMO and Team Driver, Ronald Volker, for capturing the ISTC World Championship title during the recently concluded IFMAR World Champ in Beijing, China.

Piloting the new BD8, Ronald won 2 out of 3 final rounds.
