Starting from end December, Team Yokomo will make available the new drift tires for carpet. This is specially formulated for carpet drift because the compound will withstand long running time without changing the traction and temperature remains constant.
We have tested the prototype and it has proven to be very good on carpet.
The intial cost maybe higher than competitions. But Yokomo tires run on special designed insert. Replacement outer rings will be very affordable. Generally, we only change the outer rings when the tires are worn. So, in the long run, customers are actually saving more money by using Yokomo tires. It would be actually more affordable running the high-performance tires designed by Team Yokomo. We will be bringing them in and stocking the replacement rings as well.
